1. Overview and the separate Thai contract
This English webpage is a non-binding overview, not a rental contract, the official Thai standard form or a certification of compliance. Mandatory Thai law takes priority over inconsistent website wording or contract terms.
The OCPB Contract Committee Announcement for consumer car and motorcycle rentals took effect on 30 December 2025. A Thai lawyer must confirm whether it applies to this motorhome's actual registration and vehicle classification. Where it applies, the required Thai standard agreement (Form A) and vehicle condition/handover checklist are needed in 2 copies, with 1 copy delivered to the renter.

2. Details required before signing
The White Turtle is a 1996 Isuzu Elf Outback Express 4x4. The operator's registered legal identity and full address, and the vehicle's exact registration number and classification, must be verified and recorded in the separate Thai rental contract.
The signed details must include the agreed rental terms and dates, pick-up and drop-off locations and times, rental charges, any late-return hourly/day rate, deposit collection and refund method, all additional fees, insurance insurer/policy/limits and any additional cover, and a per-condition inspection checklist. No unconfirmed charge is set by this overview.
A website enquiry does not reserve the vehicle. A rental requires Home Camping's written confirmation and completion of the lawful Thai rental contract.
3. Eligible driver
The owner's policy is a driver aged 25 or older. Each authorised driver must hold a valid licence accepted in Thailand and appropriate for the vehicle's registered classification. An international driving permit alone is not an assurance of eligibility and may need to accompany the underlying licence. The owner and Thai adviser must confirm the requirements for this registered vehicle before rental.
4. Rental payment policy
Advertised rates: 5,500 THB per day (24 hours), 25,000 THB per week and 65,000 THB per month. The minimum ordinary rental is 1 day, not one week. Event pricing on request for events lasting a few hours.
The final written quotation must separately detail the rental price, equipment/services, payment timing and methods, and tax and VAT if applicable. The owner's VAT registration must be confirmed; this website does not assert that 7% VAT is included or that the business is VAT registered. No hidden or undisclosed fees may be imposed.
5. Rental duration and reservations
Daily rentals (24 hours), weekly and monthly stays, or events lasting a few hours. Event pricing on request.
6. Timing and late returns
Daily rentals cover 24 hours. Event duration and pricing, and exact pick-up/drop-off arrangements, are agreed in writing before rental. Any lawful late-return hourly/day rate and how it is calculated must be clearly disclosed in the quotation and signed contract before payment. No late-return rate has been confirmed for this overview.
7. Cancellation
Clear written cancellation terms and any lawful fees are provided before payment or confirmed rental; mandatory rights are preserved. The previous automatic 30% and 80% penalties have not been vetted and are not imposed by this overview. No undisclosed cancellation rate applies.
8. Refundable security deposit
The refundable security deposit is 30,000 THB. The collection method must be confirmed before payment and recorded in the signed contract.
Where the OCPB rules apply, a cash, bank-transfer or cheque deposit is refunded on the return day following immediate joint inspection if there is no renter-caused damage. Official Form A specifies a credit-card refund within 15 days after return.
Any deduction must be for verifiable renter-caused damage and reflect actual, reasonable costs supported by itemised evidence, raised during the return inspection. Ordinary wear is not renter damage. Return the remaining deposit on the return day for cash/bank transfer/cheque or within the applicable credit-card refund period. There are no arbitrary flat damage deductions under this overview.
9. Handover and return inspection
The operator and renter should jointly record the vehicle's condition, existing damage, equipment, fuel and holding-tank condition on the handover checklist and inspect it together promptly on return. Return the motorhome to the agreed location and time with the same fuel level, emptied black and grey sewage tanks and all supplied equipment. Ordinary wear is excluded from renter damage; any claimed damage must be evidenced and attributable to the renter.
10. Additional charges
Refuelling, tank emptying, cleaning beyond ordinary use, recovery, missing items or renter-caused damage may only attract reasonable, actual, verified and contractually disclosed costs where lawful. Supporting itemised evidence must be available. This overview does not impose flat refuelling markups, punitive cleaning/flood charges or an automatic percentage-based loss-of-use charge. Any lawful fee and its calculation must be disclosed before payment in the signed terms.
11. Eligible early return and unused prepaid rent
For eligible daily early returns not due to operator fault, official Form A specifies at least 24 hours' prior notice. For monthly/yearly rentals, Section 14's Thai wording refers to 30 days; a Thai lawyer must confirm the precise interpretation and notice procedure before binding signed terms are issued. Unused prepaid rental is refunded pro rata in eligible cases under the applicable rules.
There is no blanket exclusion of early-return refunds. The signed agreement must explain the applicable notice and refund procedure, including the treatment of weekly and event arrangements, without restricting mandatory rights.
12. Maintenance, breakdowns and replacement
The operator remains responsible for maintenance, vehicle condition, roadworthiness and applicable safety duties. Notify Home Camping promptly of a breakdown, stop using an unsafe vehicle and coordinate assistance and repairs. Keep receipts and records; this does not waive mandatory remedies or the operator's duties.
Where OCPB applies, Form A requires a same or similar replacement when the vehicle cannot be used because of an accident or maintenance for more than 1 day, subject to its exception for the consumer's unlawful conduct. Breakdown/repair arrangements must preserve that duty and applicable rights. If replacement is not possible, applicable lawful alternatives and remedies must be provided. Home Camping has not confirmed a spare RV or comparable replacement arrangement; the owner must establish the plan before rental.
13. Responsibility for vehicle condition, return and driving
Use the vehicle lawfully and safely, with authorised and appropriately licensed drivers only. No international or cross-border trips are permitted. Do not drive through floodwater, misuse equipment or expose the vehicle to avoidable damage. Remove belongings on return.
Liability is assessed under applicable law, the evidence, the lawful signed contract and the insurance policy. The renter is not unconditionally liable for all damage, pre-existing defects or ordinary wear. These terms do not waive operator duties or mandatory consumer rights and do not permit arbitrary unilateral changes.
14. Insurance coverage
The stated cover is third-party insurance only, not comprehensive cover. The actual insurer, policy number, limits, exclusions, commercial rental suitability and any legally required or additional cover must be verified and disclosed before signing. Motorhome damage is not represented as covered by the stated third-party insurance.
The insurer's policy and applicable law govern claims. A breach does not automatically terminate all coverage under this overview. Report accidents promptly, cooperate with lawful claims procedures and use only authorised drivers. Any responsibility for uninsured loss must be assessed lawfully rather than treated as unconditional renter liability.
15. One-way rental
If offered, one-way rentals have an operational minimum of 3 days and are subject to availability and written confirmation of locations and any lawful fees. This is not a minimum for ordinary rentals.
16. Baby seats
Infant and toddler seat availability, suitability and any fee are subject to confirmation before rental. No baby-seat fee is set by this overview.
17. Safe use and cleaning
- No smoking, pet waste or strong-smelling food inside the vehicle. Pets require prior agreement.
- Cooking is outdoors only. Use cooking and electrical equipment safely and follow the handover safety instructions.
- Do not drive through water or flood the interior. Protect and return the keys and supplied equipment.
- Any cleaning or damage claim is limited to lawful, reasonable, actual and evidenced costs, disclosed in the signed terms, not a punitive flat fine.
